I don't hate Honda. S2000 and NSX are good cars.

Are EP3 Civics not a thing on the other side of the Atlantic. I pretty much never see them.

They exist, but they were never as popular as the generation preceding nor the one following, meaning they're pretty cheap.

I know Type Rs are a UK/Japan thing but the EP3 Type R is probably in the top 3 greatest hot hatches ever so I imagine the cars further down the line are at least good enough to be more widely sought after. Did they not have any sporty version or something?

It was only sold in the sporty Si trim, which was a few levels below Type-R. Most people went for the Acura RSX/Honda Integra instead, which offered more power and some semblance of luxury for not that much more.
Given that the previous Civic Si was a proper Honda - double wishbone suspension, screaming VTEC engine, and low to the ground - this seemed a bit disappointing.

cheap indeed. You can pick up an 04 with 75,000 miles for only $6000, like I did :)

I'm not saying that. People can do whatever they want.
